February 27/2016 Update

INCOSE/INSIGHT is publishing a special issue in April on nature-inspired design.  Zygote Quarterly is planning a review of the issue for ZQ16.  If you are interested in getting an early look at the articles and participating in the review, please let me know.

Thanks to the nine members that completed the survey announced in the January 25th update.  If you haven’t done so already, please spend a few minutes to complete the survey at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1AfBkNkCNfDrG8NblDmhC3427naw7W4Zf5Y0S9zq8lCc/viewform.  The survey is your chance to influence development of the website, provide feedback on the BID Community and tell me what you think are the most significant biomimicry/biomimetic/bio-inspired design initiatives of 2015.

Fil Salustri and I represented Canada at the 2015 ISO/TC 266 annual meeting in Kyoto and presented a draft of a Biomimetic Assessment Framework (see Update on the 2015 Kyoto ISO/TC 266 Annual Meeting for more details).  If you are able and willing to help defray Fil Salustri’s travel and accommodation expenses, please see 2016 Sponsorship of the Canadian ISO/TC 266 Mirror Committee.  Your support would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Norbert
