This course meets on-line on Tuesdays (June 7, 14, 21, 28), 2016 at 10:00am Pacific Time-USA for 60-90 minutes
Through a series of interactive, online presentations, exercises, and a final deliverable, this course is designed to give you the opportunity to:
- Develop the ability to describe the concept of biomimicry and how it can be used to inspire innovation and advance sustainability.
- Explore deep patterns of biological design (Life’s Principles) that all organisms use to survive and thrive.
- Apply biomimicry thinking and Life’s Principles to real challenges.
- Identify biomimicry tools and resources.
- Interact with biomimicry professionals from different disciplines.
Your online course experience is from June 7 through June 28. The course is delivered online and via the Internet so you participate from your computer for both the live weekly webinars and for the 24/7 online 'classroom' experience. Successful completion of this course can be applied towards an elective credit towards the ISSP Sustainability Professionals Certificate.
INSTRUCTOR
Mary Hansel is a Certified Biomimicry Professional and she was among the first fifteen graduates of the Biomimicry Institute's two-year professional program with a concentration in biomimicry and business innovation. She has designed and presented sustainability and biomimicry educational sessions for professional conferences, graduate courses, and workshops.
