Portland, OR

Biomimcry enables the discovery of natural principles for future innovation. For the present, it reveals challenges, overlaps, and hinge points for coordination between disciplines that support integrated design capacity. This interactive biomimicry workshop addresses biomimicry as a tool for action and implementation in design. Specifically, how the biomimicry process has become a creative methodology for architects and engineers in the built environment. The workshop will enable the participants from the AEC community to hear examples of bio-inspired projects and practice the integrative biomimicry process. The goal is to explore biomimicry as a legitimate problem-solving methodology.
