Fully Integrated Thinking [FIT]

An overview of the FIT process that "identifies the questions we need to ask of our work to achieve more sustainable outcomes."  Every projects includes the following characteristics:

  • multiple lenses that support a triple-bottom-line (ecostructure, water, atmosphere, materials, energy, food, community, culture, health, education, governance, transport, shelter, commerce and value)
  • place-based understanding of local ecologies
  • rooted in the Life's Principles
  • accountable through "the ability to quantify the ecological, social and economic value of our projects"

The webpage includes a pointer to FIT Conference2010: FIT Organizations Presentation, a 36 minute clip that includes 20 minutes of presentation by Tim McGee followed by a Q&A with comments by Janine Benyus.
