The Biomimicry Institute will conduct the 2nd annual Biomimicry & Design Workshop in South Africa in partnership with Biomimicry South Africa. This workshop is currently open only to residents of South Africa; registration will open to international participants on July 19.

Who should attend:  This workshop is designed for professionals and students seeking an intensive, interdisciplinary, and experiential introduction to biomimicry. Because the principles and practices of biomimicry straddle disciplines, we strongly encourage individuals from a diversity of disciplines to learn, appreciate, and interact together. People from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, industrial design, the sciences, engineering, business, and city planning are invited to register.

When: September 15-21, 2010 (participants should plan to arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa, by September 14 and depart no earlier than mid-afternoon on September 22)
