On Nantucket, students will be immersed in a New England island setting living close to nature and learning about environmental issues and related sustainable design strategies. By learning from and then emulating nature, biomimicry provides an ecologically sound guide to implement sustainable designs.

Visiting Lecturer

Karen Sullivan, award winning architect & LEED AP, will lend her expertise in design and biomimicry the second week of the course. Ms. Sullivan is a principal of Via Design, Ltd., specializing in sustainable design.
