BioInspired! So What? Now What!

Registration is open September 1, 2011 for the Biomimicry Student Design Challenge. If you're a student interested in learning more about biomimicry while trying to solve an important challenge relevant to people throughout the world, please sign up by October 1. Funded by the Merck Family Fund, the challenge asks students around the world to form interdisciplinary teams and use biomimicry to design a solution that results in more efficient energy utilization and ultimately reduces greenhouse gas emissions, ideally in their local environment. The Institute will provide some training, tools, and resources to help students and faculty apply biomimicry to their design process.
