Location:
El Rancho Robles, Oracle, Arizona

Our never-ending quest to find awe-inspiring answers to our favorite question is taking us to the Sonoran Desert next March for the latest Biomimicry Thinking for Design Immersion Workshop. Join us amongst the famous saguaro cacti to delve into the process of learning how to bring nature's genius to your project work and innovation methods.

From a home-base of the historic El Rancho Robles, participants will immerse themselves into Biomimicry Thinking by exploring the local ecosystems within of one of North America's largest deserts and join interdisciplinary teams to use the practice of biomimicry as they solve design challenges inspired by the real-world questions. By reframing typical approaches to problem solving, you'll learn how to discover natural models that can inform new and innovative solutions.

The workshop is designed for innovators from all sectors, from architects to designers to teachers to innovators looking to be inspired by nature's genius. It will be led by Biomimicry 3.8 co-founder and world renowned biomimicry leader Dayna Baumeister, along with Biomimicry 3.8 senior principal and designer Erin Rovalo.

Biomimicry Specialist students take note: This Immersion Workshop counts as one of two required in-person units for the Biomimicry Specialist Certification program.
