ConservationEconomy.net: A Pattern Language for Sustainability

Ecotrust has developed an extensive Pattern Language for the "conservation economy", including 57 patterns organized under:

  • social capital (fundamental needs, community)
  • natural capital (ecological land-use, ecosystem services)
  • economic capital (household economies, green business, local economies, bioregional economies)

Each pattern includes a detailed description, images and case studies.  The full pattern network is available as an animated Pattern Map.
