BioInspired! So What? Now What!

The natural world features an incredible diversity of complex designs and design principles across (traditional) disciplines. This meeting will group together Canadian researchers using biological inspiration for the design of hierarchical, multifunctional materials, robotics, structures, architecture and self-organized systems. Besides the goals of innovative technologies and sustainability, bio-inspired design can also help us better understand the biological world itself.
