Marjan Eggermont Receives Biomimicry 3.8 Educators Award

Four Best of Biomimicry Awards were announced at the recent Biomimicry 3.8 conference in Boston.  "The awards recognize the achievements of professionals with proven records in the application of biomimicry to their classrooms, work, businesses, or communities. Nominees should have extraordinary, unique, or pioneering contributions to excellence in biomimicry."  Marjan Eggermont received the award for Excellence in Biomimicry Education within a College or University.  Tom Knittel received the award for Design and Business.  The names of the other two recipients will be posted when available.

That evening we also presented our first-ever Best of Biomimicry Awards. Winners included Claire Weerepas of St. Alban's College for Excellence in Biomimicry Education within a K-12 or Public Learning Enviornment; Marjan Eggermont for Excellence in Biomimicry Education within a College or University; Thomas Knittel (pictured above) for Excellence in Biomimicry within the Field of Design; and Claire Janisch and Julie Sammons, co-winners for Regional Network Leader of the Year. Congratulations to all of our award winners and our deepest gratitude for the phenomenal work you do to bring biomimicry into the world!
