Call For Applications: PhD Fellowships in Biomimicry 2015

Are you interested in PhD training in Biomimicry? Would you like to help accelerate the growth of biomimicry as a tool for innovation in academia, industry, and K12?

We have new sponsors for 5-year fellowships supporting PhD students to partner with corporations, university, and K12 schools by helping them bring biomimicry into their organizations. Fellowships come with an annual stipend and a tuition scholarship allowing completion of the PhD.

Students with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field, including art and design, engineering, math, and science are encouraged to apply. We have more than 6 Fellowships available that are suited to applicants with backgrounds and/or interests in:

  • Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics, Behavior, Physiology, Anatomy
  • Biological Adhesion, Biofluids, Polymer Science, Biopolymers, Chem Engineering, Tribology
  • Aquatic and Microbial Ecology, Civil Engineering, Ecology
  • Mech Engineering, Biological Adhesion, Sensory Biology, Biomechanics
  • Aerospace and Naval Engineering, Biological Fluids, Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics
