July 14/2023 Update

We have built Zygote Quarterly issues largely from articles submitted or written since the last issue.  We are testing a new approach: create a 'funnel' of articles from which we can select the right combination for a specific issue.  We are looking for articles relating to research, innovation, natural history, science, art or engineering, and should be related to how nature has inspired, or could inspire, a solution to a human challenge, such as climate change, biodiversity, natural resource conservation, and the food/energy/water nexus.

Please send a brief summary and outline of your story idea to info [at] zqjournal [dot] org along with any references that you think will help us to review the work described.  We will review abstracts quarterly (October 15, January 15, April 15, July 15) and respond within four weeks.  Some tips about writing an abstract:

  • What is the reason for writing the article?
  • What challenges does the article address?
  • What information/resources were used to develop the article?
  • What is the intended or desired outcome of the article?

Thanks, Tom, Marjan, and Norbert
