BioInspired! So What? Now What!

The notes from the second Making a Living With BID conference call are posted at 2011/03/15 Conference Call.  The participants decided to submit an entry to the 2011 International Algae Competition, both to test and practice bio-inspired design tools and demonstrate that BID is a useful design methodology.  If you are interested in participating, please see Algae Competition: Pointers and Project Status for a list of pointers.  Send me an e-mail if you want to be on the core team.

Lastly, a reminder that free membership in the BID Community expires on April 4th.  Anyone who has registered on the BioInspired site but has not paid the quarterly membership fee will still be able to view all public content and also tag, rate, post comments and create Events/Resources.  However, non-members will lose access to member-only content including current issues of the BioInspired! newsletter and forum discussions.  Only paid-up members as of April 4th will be able to participate in the 1st quarter BID Community 'Participation Rebate'.  Anyone registered after April 4th will no longer get free membership - instead, a one month trial membership will be offered for $5 to allow new registered users to determine whether the BID Community is of value. 

The membership fee helps cover green dollar costs, website maintenance/improvements and production of the quarterly newsletter.  Membership also serves as a measure of whether we feel bio-inspired design is a valuable tool and that the BID Community is a worthwhile means of furthering the practice of BID.  To sign up, please Become a Member.
