I have had a few discussions with BID Community members on Indexing Zygote Quarterly - at 29 issues, we have collected a significant body of knowledge.  In addition to making it easier to find specific articles, I hope an index will encourage BID Community members to discuss the articles and draw connections between articles.  There are a growing number of literature mapping tools, although most seem to be based on citations rather than similarity in content.  The simplest approach might be assigning tags to articles.  The bibliography manager I use lets me add related papers by searching on author/title in previously added papers - I suspect that might be difficult to implement.  Let me know if you have any ideas.
