Applied Bionics and Biomechanics is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of applied bionics and biomechanics.

This journal appears to publish fairly technical articles in areas such as biomedical research and robotics.  The journal published an article by Dr. F. E. Fish on "Limits of Nature and Advances of Technology: What Does Biomimetics Have to Offer to Aquatic Robots?"  Hindawi Publishing Corporation publishes a wide range of peer-reviewed, open access journals where paper authors cover the costs and access to the journals is free.  The site includes a cross-journal search engine.

The International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) is an educational, non-profit, non-political organization formed in 2010 to foster the exchange of information on bionic engineering research, development and application.

Just wanted to let you know that The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is to become the first engineering, not-for-profit publisher to adopt an open access model with the launch of a comprehensive, online-only open access journal. Open access options will also be added to its existing 26 journals.
