BioInspired! So What? Now What!

The International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) is an educational, non-profit, non-political organization formed in 2010 to foster the exchange of information on bionic engineering research, development and application.

Just wanted to let you know that The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is to become the first engineering, not-for-profit publisher to adopt an open access model with the launch of a comprehensive, online-only open access journal. Open access options will also be added to its existing 26 journals.

"Upon journeying to Jackson Hole, WY, and back from a recent Education Summit hosted by the Biomimicry Institute, a university professor and student united to create an open-source blog full of biomimicry/biomimetic ideas for art, design, science and engineering. The focus is form, function, style, subtlety, flow, intelligence and systems. The objective of this project is to inspire and inform others about things that have been done with, and can be done with, biomimicry.
