See Biomimicry Content for 2012 National Training Conference (April 11-12, Washington, D.C.) for a request to deliver a presentation "showing how biomimicry can influence the manufacturing process where you don't have to use chemicals of concerns, but use nature in the design." The event is the 2012 National Training Conference on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) and Environmental Conditions in Communities organized by the Environmental Council of the States.
Through a cooperative agreement with the United States Environmental Protection (U.S. EPA), the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) has developed the ChemicalRight2Know.org collaborative forum. The main mission of the collaborative forum is to provide access for communities, industry and all interested stakeholders on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) and other environmental data to:
- Vet their analyses,
- Share success stories and best practices, and
- collaborate on solving community chemical-related problems.
This looks like a great opportunity to promote Green Chemistry and alternatives to 'heat, beat and treat' manufacturing methods. If you are interested in heading up the presentation or contributing content, please post a comment to Biomimicry Content for 2012 National Training Conference or drop me a note. The deadline for submitting a 300 word abstract is Nov. 19/2011.
Thanks, Norbert
Possible speaker
Hi Norbert,
I passed along this speaking engagement to Mark Dorfman, our Green Chemistry Naturalist at Biomimicry 3.8 (former Biomimicry Guild and The Biomimicry Institute).
