September 2011 Newsletter Now Available

The September issue is now available at http://bioinspired.sinet.ca/content/september-2011-newsletter-issue-83.  The newsletter can be read online by clicking on the article titles.  A PDF of the newsletter has not been created but PDFs of selected articles are attached to the online version and can be downloaded by registered users.  As explained in the lead article, this issue and the previous three 'member-only' issues are now publicly readable.

Petra Gruber, BID Community Chart Member and part of the Advisory Group is one of the editors of the new book Biomimetics -- Materials, Structures and Processes.  The Biomimicry Institute has created a Youth Educator Online Course.  If you find any content suitable for BID Community Resources, please let me know.  Registered users can also help the BID Community by tagging and rating existing content.

A new Clippings section has been added to BioDreamMachine, a "site for K-12 teachers and students looking for ways to use nature as an inspiration and guide for problem-solving."  The content from the TypePad Clippings weblog will be migrated to BioDreamMachine sometime this year.
